Lonely Lines
A visual essay by Ronan Bouroullec
In recent weeks we have given this space to several protagonists of architecture and design to reflect on the unusual moment in which we find ourselves. But artists and creatives don’t just turn to writing to find clarity in turbulent times.
For brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, drawing – even on invoices or napkins if necessary – is an indispensable part of their design process. In a previous article, we mentioned that Ronan Bouroullec never leaves home without a few sheets of paper in his pocket. But what if you couldn’t leave the house?
Drawing has been a part of my life since I was a child, and in the last few weeks this activity has helped me a lot,” says Ronan.
Here are some results of this work.
